Share the Power of Microgratitude

Gratitude is contagious.
The microgratitude practice is simple.
The impact is real.

Small, even micro, moments of gratitude have a quiet power. They pull people out of the daily fog. They shift attention from what's wrong to what's is and has always been good. Microgratitude works on hard days — maybe, especially, on hard days. This power is wired into our brains. We are built to use gratitude to our advantage.

The mission here is simple: get this microgratitude practice into as many hands as possible. All through the simple notion of placing books so that maybe they find the people in need at the right moment they

Some will give the gift of microgratitude to themselves by buying the book. Others will give it away.

Some will practice it openly, once the learn how. When you practice out loud — around family, friends, or the stranger next to you in line — it catches on. Someone notices. Someone asks. It’s contagious.

Every purchase helps place a book. We set aside 20% of profits to place books — for free — in waiting rooms, recovery centers, and senior centers. Quiet spaces where someone might be having a hard day and needs something to reach for. Also for every 5 Mission Editions sold places one where needed.

The Gratitude Corps takes it further. Some people want to do more than purchase. They want to carry the practice into their own communities — to choose the space, make the introduction, and know a book landed in the right hands. That's what the Gratitude Corps is for.

A person in a beige sweater is giving another person a green book titled 'micro gratitude' with a white ribbon tied around it.
A book titled 'micro gratitude' by Ben Thomas is on a wooden table next to a steaming cup of coffee in a coffee shop with blurred wooden chairs and tables in the background.
A senior woman sitting in a waiting room, reaching to pick up a green book titled 'micro gratitude by Ben Thomas' from a round wooden coffee table. The table also has a stack of magazines and a small potted green plant.

Imagine, someone is sitting in a doctor's office right now, dreading a result. Someone is in a recovery center, trying to find a foothold out of a hard place. Someone is in a senior center, where hope can quietly slip away.

These are exactly the moments where microgratitude works best — when the fog of difficult, anxiety, and concern is thickest, and, thankfully, the small, good things still exist if someone shows them how to look for them.

A microgratitude book in the right chair at the right moment can do that.
